Sandra and I took off yesterday morning to do a little what she calls comfort shopping , after buying a few new blouses, it was off to the hospital for her final pre-op testing .,they drew some blood, got it on the second stick which usually takes five or six ,did an E K G a urine sample ,and a chest x-Ray we where back in time for lunch.They will call Sandra on Friday to give her a time for her surgery on Monday the 23rd ,all in all a pretty good day.sandra and I are nervous but it's time to see this through ,and put it all in the hands of the surgeons and the fine staff of nurses and the recovery team at Morton Plant Hospital. And Our Lord Jesus Christ.Please keep both of us in your prayers Monday.As always we are praying for the people who are having surgery today, and those of you on the mend. Prayers for Sherry today as she gets a life changing operation ,may God be with her and the surgeons that she will have a successful surgery with out any complications, in Jesus name Amen

.just wanted to check in was so glad that Jim's surgery was over and thank you to Dan for posting Jim has been such an inspiration to Sandra andI On a lighter note Sandra pampered herself yesterday with a mani pedi ,and I think she even relaxed a little .today we go for the last of Sandra's pre-op testing crossing our fingers that all will go well .please say an extra prayer for Sandra today, we will keep you posted sending prayers for those having surgery today and those on the mend.

Sandra came to my room this morning,.and she was having a panic attack .she was crying and she said she was having pity on herself I explained to her that she wasn't having pity on herself and the feeling she was having was not pity ,what she was having was an emotion that she was just scared.I told her that it is almost impossible not to feel what she was feeling,and told her I was scared also. I also told her she has a huge support system,and tried to comfort her by saying I was her number one fan. On a lighter note we had a great valentines day and told her how great it was to be loved by her and how blessed I felt to have her in my life.She made me feel so loved today,it was hard to keep my emotions in check, but I know it is alright to cry so we did it together.Please keep us both in your prayers as we move closer to Sandra's surgery date,in hopes that we will have less stressful days.Our thoughts and prayers are with the people who are having surgery tomorrow ,and to those on the mend with wam regards and love. Dear H V C February is a bad month for me , ironically We buried my Mom my Dad ,my 16 year old sister who passed away of cancer,and now my sister in law. I've always had a rough time with this month. But the first thing this morning Sandra made me a cup of coffee, and we chatted for awhile . She is finally turning the corner with her cold and last night they started me on antibiotics and some cough medicine. I told the Dr. That I didn't want to compromise Sandra's health ,so I'm happy to say that we are both on our way back to better health,and even though I am grieving I am still very focused on Sandra's upcoming surgery, and the month of February over,and today is the day of love, I am very blessed that I do have a love in my life, and they are going to fix her broken heart soon I will leave you today by saying My God is good,and if you do have a special valentine in your life , take the opportunity to give them a big squeeze and a kiss and thank our lord for all your love ones . All our prayers and love Sandra and Peter.

My heart valve community,The reason I didn't post yesterday was because my brothers wife passed away of a blood clot.Any way I was just thinking how precious every day is ,and how we need to treat ourselves like it is our last day .My sister in law was just 59 years old and a wonderful person.She will be missed.Sandra came to my aide and gave me a very warm embrace.Sandra is one of a kind and always puts everyone else first even when she is facing this huge surgery.Please keep us in your prayers today and every day,as we will do the same for you.

We having getting so many signs from God as of late .things that we have written Only to hear about them in church the next day. Pictures with Sandra that have an orb beside it that aren't on the hard copy,a place were we spread Sandra's mothers ashes in the Gulf of Mexico This morning we saw a perfect heart in the clouds. We believe these are all signs from God. Telling us they he is watching over my dear Sandra and want to hold on to these feelings God Bless you all.Sandra and Peter.

Well I have been fighting of a miserable cold for over a week now ,I have been pounding vitamin C vitaminC enger packs straight red cider vinegar cough drops everyone in the assisted living facility is hacking all over one in other.i have been wearing a surgical masks for a week trying in vain not to get Sandra sick. Well today she woke up with a cold.she was very nervous that they might have to cancel her surgery.i told her not to panic, they were going to start her on antibiotics today Z PAC ,today hopefully they won't have to push her surgery back as she is mentally ready to get this all over,because it seems like we have been waiting for ever.Right now she will need the whole community praying for her and any feedback you can give to rid her of this cold quickly would be greatly appreciated. All our prayers go out to those having surgery soon and those that are on the mend Best wishes and warm regards Sandra and Peter.

Good morning heart valve community . The other morning on the 7th I had posted on our journal titled Quite Time,how we needed to take a few minutes each day in silence to talk to our lord and thank him for all he does and provides for us. Well yesterday when I went to church,guess what the sermon was about? You guessed it. It was about that very subject When things like that happen you have to believe that God is sending you a message that he does want us to keep knocking at his door. I am not a bible thumper but when something that obvious happens, you have to heed the message. Our God is Good, and we are believers. prayers for all of you. Best regards, Sandra and Peter

I was think this morning that our Lord created this entire universe in 6 days ,and on the seventh da y he rested. Well I will challenge all my heart valve community members wether you believe in god at all to take some time to rest today,and give yourself some credit to just how far you have come.And I will pray for all of you that your day will be just a little less stressful.And take a moment to give thanks that we are all blessed to have another day.

We'll today is the 24th of January and I'm sitting here thinking in complete silence. That it would be a good time to speak to our Lord ,and thank him for all the many small things that he provides for Sandra and I .I have to tell you I get this warm feeling that all will be well with my Love Sandra .i thank him each morning and night for Adam,and all of you that I found this wonderful web site. There is a reason why I found this web site with all these incredible people.God does care ,and he guides us when we ask him .he just wants us to keep knocking on his door.last week when I was at church Father said (if you are depressed , in pain, or tired) give it to The Lord . Hi heart valve community, my name is peter. I am posting this for my friend Sandra who is unfortunately back in the hospital the other day she went in only to find out that her hemoglobin count had dropped to a very dangerous level of 4.9 they put her in I.c.u. And immediately had to give her 4units of blood to save her life she responded very well. now she is home from the hospital, She will be having open heart surgery on January 23 at Morton plant hospital in clearwater Florida by Dr.Rovin we are both very nervous, and could use the prayers of the community and a lot of well wishing.it is a very difficult wait and very hard having someone you love facing this huge surgery again. I know she would appreciate any feed back she can get. all our prayers go out to those people who are having,or had this life changing surgery GOD SPEED and many thanks. Peter and Sandra.

I have posted a blog for myself and my friend sandra trotta we are new to the sight and don't really know the protocol.sandra will be having her surgery onfebruary23 at Morton plant hospital in clearwater florida . When we found this site we were very excited that we would finally get some much needed support for a vary serious health .we both decided to embark on this journey together I am basically her only support hear in florida and we are both very very scared.we are excited that we will be able together some awesome feedback and prayers from some wonderful courages and caring individual people. Please except us in your community because we need all the support we can get at a very trying and difficult time.  Ps.we would like to get Sandra's name on the upcoming surgery list but don't have a clue of how to accomplish this we are including all the heart people in our prayers,and we will keep on trying to better understand how the site actually works any help would be greatly appreciated thank you and God Bless everyone in the community. W hen sandra and I found this web site it was completely by accident.what a blessing it will be leading up to her surgery. She has all ready had this surgery before .and .she remembers the pain associated with the procedure.but she is a strong person and she will .go through it again because she wants to be healthy again.please share with us your personal stories because we need positive feedback on how you coped with huge procedure, also someone wrote yesterday that they had there procedure done at Morton plant hospital in clearwater florida ,by Dr. Rovin and Dr.loefenbok.so.he is sandra surgeon and we would like to know what you thought of them.
