I have made 3 open heart surgery, the first one 1968 taken away a aorta membran. The second one in december 2015 changing my aorta valve to a mechanic one. The surgery became more complicated than expected, because I was bleeding a lot during the surgery. At that time the surgeon saw that my tricuspid valve was leaking, but he did not dare to change that valve at the same time. So I did my 3rd surgery May 14 this year and this surgery was also much more complicated than expected. The tricuspid valve I have is a biologic one, they also put a pacemaker to keep my puls steady. Thru all 3 surgeries my rehab has went perfect. I am working full time and I live a completely normal life. The only concern I have is that I probably have to change the tricuspid valve within 10 to 12 years.
I do have a question, as far as I know it is today impossible to change tricuspid valve using TAVR. Is there someone who can tell me status of the research concerning change of tricuspid valve using TAVR.
Thank you for a good web site

Susan Lynn Amazing story. Don't worry about 10 years from now - there are so many medical advances that I'm sure there will be even less invasive efficacious treatments by then. All the best to you!
