Am having my aortic and mitral valves replaced on November 3rd. Unfortunately am overweight and have COPD. Dr. Tranbaugh at Beth Israel knows the surgery will be successful, but concerned about my recuperation. Anyone else out there a high-risk and give me some encouragement, as i'm getting more and more... Read more.

must be even more difficult to keep up a brave face in front of your two sons. the beth israel i'm going to is in nyc, so i don't know if its the same. in nyc its currently part of mount sinai
