Energy- I had value and aorta replacement Oct. 26. All went well-complications. Prior to surgery I was an active 52 year old. However since I had no perceived symptoms before surgery, (the diagnosis of aneurysm was a complete shock) I know my energy levels are still not back to where... Read more.

I was exhausted on metropolol and my GP tweaked the dose to just a quarter less tired and now the exhaustion is just from the 'lazy' heart!

I am down to the minimum dose of metoprolol which keeps my blood pressure low. I really have a lack of energy even with cardiac rehab. I am 3 months post op and waiting to to feel good again!

Sounds like could be meds. I had to increase mine and they wiped me out so much so I came back down.

I was on metroprolol but my doctor switched me to a different beta blocker, Bystolic. It is more expensive, no generic, but it works better for me.

I wish I had a more exciting picture-like wrestling an alligator or branding a steer...but I work in the financial sector so its ties and uncomfortable shoes.
