Hello I had a TAVR 2 years ago and just had my echocardiogram done. They found a blood clot in the aortic valve causing the leaflets to move slowly. Has anyone experienced this post TAVR?

Hello, Wondering if anyone has had a "single jet, very eccentric, seemingly paravalvular regurgitation" (as described by doctor after echocardiogram) after one year checkup post TAVR? I see my doctor on Monday to discuss but wanted to get some of your thoughts.

Lucille - I haven't seen a condition described as a single jet on this site, is it possible it's referred to by another name? I hope your post resonates with someone here and you get a reply. Good luck with your appointment and please keep us posted! ❤️
Thank you for posting. I was looking more into it and apparently the valve is leaking but only mildly. I will just have to be patient and see what the doctor says. It's just worrisome and I'm just SO tired of worrying!
Eccentric, I think, means it is just a funky angle of the flow, so a sort of personalized flow.
I think it might mean a single leak. I wonder if anyone has had any type of aortic valve leak after TAVR

Unfortunately, the risk of stroke is present with TAVR and open heart surgery in general. All we can do is follow the post op instructions, take our meds as directed, and pray for a good outcome. It is hard not to worry about every possible complication, but we must learn... Read more.
Lucille, I have been wondering how the TAVR went and how you are doing. Glad to see your post. I too am on Eliquis and a low dose aspirin per day. My TAVR was in June, 2020 and it's still doing ok. I am also on other medications since I... Read more.
Thank you for your comments, it really does help to know we are not alone.
