Hi Linda - I am with Kaiser San Francisco; had mitral valve repair on 11/28 and it went very smoothly. I understand my repair was complicated and the surgery was done in record time (3.5 hours). My surgeon is the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery and was very highly recommended (Dr. Vicken Melikian).

Diagnosis: Severe Mitral Valve Regurg. w/ ruptured attachmen I am looking for anyone who has had repair done at Kaiser (Portal Entry) and who their Dr. was. Otherwise I need to talk with someone who has switched from Kaiser to another plan in order to get a good heart surgeon and how they did it or could afford it? Its all a foreign language to me. Covered Ca is closing tomorrow (Saturday) and I need to figure this out asap. I'm 60 years old.
