Hi Laura. I was right in your shoes 5 months ago after I started to become symptomatic. I'm 36 and they also found my BAV at a very young age. Just know that the waiting game is the worst part. I'm not 15 weeks post-op and doing better everyday. Waiting... Read more.

Hi Laura. Waiting is hard for sure. I've had valve surgery, twice actually, & have recovered both times so hopefully that & the stories of others on this site will offer you some encouragement. I wish you well.
