My doc kept me on 12.5 mg metoprolol twice a day since the surgery. My heart rate was never high, but after a few months it was more consistently 55-65 resting. I would get up to 78 on the treadmill. As far as BP, I also ran low, except when in a surgeons's office who told me I needed cardiac surgery. Then I was 188/90...It has taken me over a year to not spike a BP in a doctor's office. The emotional toll of such a big surgery sometimes lingers, I think. Are you on any BP Meds or beta blockers like metoprolol? And are you doing any cardiac rehab/aerobic activity to "tune up" your heart? I think that helps to smooth things out also.
