7 weeks out from minimally invasive aortic valve replacement. I have been back to work since 1 week after surgery. The only thing bothering me is this heart from 85-110 and my diastolic (bottom number) being 100. My systolic is great at 13-125. My BP was very goo (110/60's) and... Read more.
My doc kept me on 12.5 mg metoprolol twice a day since the surgery. My heart rate was never high, but after a few months it was more consistently 55-65 resting. I would get up to 78 on the treadmill. As far as BP, I also ran low, except when... Read more.
Marie's right. Takes time for the heart to settle down and heal. A good 6 months to a year, according to my surgeon. I'm approaching 11 months soon. Resting heart rate is in 60s. BP in normal range. Give it time.❤️💪🏼
