I am about 3 weeks out for my AVR and enlarged aorta replacement. I am 47 and "healthy"(lol), have what I am told is a fantastic surgeon here in Atlanta, wonderful family and friends, and good medical benefits. Everything points to a good recovery but I am having a hard time with the idea of all this down time and long recovery. Just venting I guess. Any suggestions about how to fill the time during recovery with healthy activities that won't get me hurt? Totally not sure what to expect from this but I am the type who has to be doing something....
