Waiting on cardiac ct scan to see if aorta is dilated enough to replace during valve replacement. At 47 looks like a mechanical replacement is the correct option.
Surgery scheduled for July 5th. They are replacing my aortic valve and portion of aorta and rebuilding the aortic root. Going with the on-x valve as I dont want to go thru this again. Great surgical team at piedmont atlanta says a good outlook.
I am excited that I will be able to be active and go back to basically all the same activities as before. (My boxing days ended years ago.) Its all very overwhelming to say the least.
