Hello. Does anyone know the approximate cost of a robotic mitral valve repair without complications for self pay patients? I was looking at UW, Idaho hospitals. I'm 57 and have mild/mod MR. Thanks.

Probably varies from hospital to hospital ,region to region, expert to its my first time surgeon. I figured out my costs with insurance in boston minimal invasive, and it was over 40 k.

My hospital was billed 300,000. But these are insurance mediated prices, and a self pay price may be lower. You need to speak to someone in the billing department of the hospital you are using. My dentist takes of 10% for self pay. I just cancelled my dental insurance as it basically paid for nothing.

Assume market is around $150-180k but that is not a specific estimate for that market - just other markets. UW does not do robotic. Happy to provide more info. Self pay they usually knock off around 30%
