Valerie Allen I think they evaluate each case individually. Since the TAVR just pushes the original valve to the side, I was told that often it is not the ideal first approach since the original valve may be misshapen anyway. There may be cases where it works, however. I was told not on me.

Dan Fouratt I have a bicuspid valve and could have had the TAVR procedure. My wife and I decided that the better long term plan was to go with SAVR. Long answer yes it can be done on a bicuspid valve.
