Fidel Martínez Ruiz Not in my case, I have metal staples in my sternum, but I didn't underwent MRI after surgery. It was before. Anyway, as far as I know, titanium and surgical stain steel doesn't present disturbances in MRI.

Thomas Brusstar I had one of the two pacing leads left in my chest after surgery. One pulled out easily, the other didn't. So they just clipped it and left it. (And they didn't even need to use them. Oh well.) But I think the lead is made of copper, which wouldn't react to an MRI. The MRI radiology people should have detailed data on acceptable power to use given the sternum wires, and they must have seen the pacing leads before also.
