My Heart byepass Surgery was done 3 months before, But I have a bit of problems 1 My blood pressure is still high ie it was 188/100 yesterday, my Ramipril dose was increased from 2.5mg to 5mg and now 10mg but bp is still high, 2 my gums start bleeding 2 or 3 times in a day without any brush. HOWEVER no blood during brush. Don't know what to do. Thanks for any comments

Marie Myers Sometimes it takes a second, different type of blood pressure pill in combination to get control . Keep monitoring your BP at home. When is your next doctor appointment? I know it took 2 different meds to get my husband’s blood pressure under control. He is on losartan 100 mg and amlodipine 5 mg.

I also take amlodipine 2.5mg, but with Lisinopril 10mg My BP is good (116-124/78-80, but wondering if it is partially the Lisinopril that makes me have such a hard time sleeping and so lethargic. I know they work a little differently, but do the same thing. Just wondering if I should bring it up to my cardiologist.
