Hi guys, anyone have chest pounding when you inhale, its been 2 months since surgery. If so how long did it take to go away.. GL

Yes i had that i think, tell me more what it is like

Deep inhale and you can feel your heart bumping below the colar bone and base of your throat.. Normal feeling with normal breathing

I'm 5 weeks postop and feel the same thing. I actually asked my cardiologist about it yesterday and she said it's normal. I can't say it's gone away yet since it's still happening to me but I'm still early on in the recovery process.

I had surgery in May '14 and I can feel my mechanical valve when I take deep breaths or swollen really hard. I have adjusted, but it takes time to get use to the noise and/or feeling. I figure it's a good feeling to have as reminder what we went... Read more.
