Dylan Kempers Fowzi, I had robotic mitral valve repair a year ago, and wouldn't call the robotic surgery "minimally invasive". Except for cutting your sternum open (which I agree is a huge difference for obvious reasons), the rest is the same, i.e., heart lung bypass machine, all the wiring and tubes, etc. They are both open heart surgery, with everything it entails.

Hello Adam, My name is Fowzi and I would like to share my story with you and the community. In December 2021 I have been diagnose with mitral stenosis due to Rheumatic fever and , I had balloon procedures done In Mayo Clinic in Feb 28, But a month later my condition get worse and I had to go the ER for high heart rate, after the did the Echo and CT scan they notice my balloon procedures it was not a success and now I have to do a mitral valve replacement in Mayo Clinic. It has been schedule for May 4th. Will be done via Robotics arm (minimal invasive) I would like to just share my story before and after the surgery also the recovery.
