Mitral Valve Repair: Different Surgery Approaches (Sternotomy, MiniSternotomy and Robotic)

Today, there are many different approaches that surgeons can access the heart and fix heart valve disorders. In addition to traditional open heart procedures, there are now minimally-invasive procedures, and non-invasive techniques like transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVR) replacement and repair (TMVr). In this video, you will learn about different surgical approach for mitral valve repair surgery including sternotomy, mini-sternotomy and robotic access points for patients with mitral valve disease including regurgitation and prolapse.
