Hey Duane...I read your journal and had to connect. I had Robotic Mitral Valve repair at Mayo Rochester on March 15th. My surgeons were Dr Joseph Dearani and Dr Simon Maltaise as well. Both excellent surgeons and the care at Mayo was top notch. I'm now home recovering for the... Read more.

This is a picture of my wife Lorri and I she had surgery in August and I in January. We joke that we have contagious heart valve disease.

That's great...partners in surgery and recovery. You each know how the other felt as you both had the same surgery. Doesn't get any better than that

I think our situation is rather unique. My wife had aortic valve replacement in Aug. 16. I had Mitral valve repair in Jan. anyone other have same. We are doing great same surgeon in Rochester.
