My husband is going in for his third open heart. This time they are replaceing his heart valves. He is only 50 this December. I'm scared he won't make it this time. I have no one to talk to about what is going on. I'll just keep on praying and leave it in rotors hands and hope that the good Lord guide them.

Hopefully, your husband's health is otherwise good. Nowadays, survival rates for valve surgery are extremely high. Having your support will also up his odds.

Steve Farthing Sometimes couples meet with either the surgeon, cardiologist or possibly the anesthesiologist to get matters clarified which may lower the anxiety level. There are 4 valves in the heart and they typically repair or replace one or possibly two valves.

Rita Savelis It is hard to be a caretaker/loved one of a patient - your experience and worries are different from his. Outcomes for heart surgeries are good these days, but there is still recovery to deal with.
I hope that you can find a support group for caregivers. Otherwise I encourage you to talk to a counselor and express your fears/worries.
