Rita Savelis I can't give you a number, but of course it happens, more often than you think. Sometimes 2 valves are replaced at the same time (my heart had damage from cancer radiation so I had 2 valves replaced and a third one reinforced). Other times, first one valve will be replaced and then years later another.
