I would like to thank Adam and all the members on this site as I have been a pretty silent member for several months prior to my AVR surgery. Your comments and experiences have been very helpful for my preparation and my recovery. I am now 5 weeks post aortic valve replacement with an Edwards Resilia bovine valve. The recovery has been going well and while it is a bit slow for my taste I am learning to accept it as it is. Most helpful for me is the cardiac rehab 3 days per week and walking on my own the other days. I still have discomfort from my sternotomy but tylenol mostly takes care of it. Planning on gong back to work next week and see the recovery as at least a 3-6 month process. Again, I appreciate everyone's comments and insights as it has made my journey much easier. Thank You All
