I am rapidly approaching my one-year Ross Procedure anniversary. Hi, everyone! I have been learning about rapid recovery procedures and was wondering if this only works for patients that have received rigid sternal plating for sternotomy or if you can use it with wire encerclage repairs for sternotomy?
I believe rapid recovery protocols will help with any type of sternal closure.
Thanks, Marie! Can you point me to any online materials about the specific protocols? I want to share with my OT/PT team but also need to check with my surgeon. Thank you!

I had a Ross Procedure at UCSF in San Francisco on February 15, 2024. I am recovering quickly and I am trying to learn more about post-Ross recovery, in particular, about sternotomy recovery.
