well the day is finally upon me, wed oct 12th i will be going in for open heart surgery with 2 valves being replaced scared as hell, but trying to be strong at the same time can be hell. I know im in good hands with my heart surgeon at st pauls hospital in vancouver, bc is the leading heart center for the world. Wish everyone a good day sendind warm wishes to all!!

Amy Steele I was where you are last week. It's scary, but you are in good hands. I'm now 5 days post op and am sitting comfortably at home. Am I sore? Yes, but I'm able to control daytime pain with ibuprofen. Do I get winded and tired? Yes, but each day has been better than the last.
As so many have said, the anticipation is the worst part and I agree. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you wait and for a successful surgery!
