About Me

November 2015: Presented to ED with random onset of chest tightness. ED doctor picked up a heart murmur and referred me for an ECHO the next day. ECHO showed I have Bicuspid Aortic Valve Syndrome with Aortic Aneurysm measuring 5.3cm as confirmed by a follow-up CT scan. The Aortic Valve had both stenosis and moderate regurgitation. February 2016: Repeat ECHO shows no change to Valve or Aneurysm. CT angiogram showed no plaques or blockages in my coronary arteries. September 2016: ECHO showed no change in aneurysm. However, Aortic Valve is now borderline severe leakage. October 2016: Booked for Bentall procedure to replace aortic aneurysm with a graft and replace Aortic Valve with a bovine valve. Aortic root replacement will be determined by the surgeon during the procedure.
