Send Winston a NoteAbout Me
A heart murmur was first diagnosed 10 years ago when I was 66 years old. My aortic stenosis at that time was very mild, but is now in the severe range requiring replacement of the valve. The valve procedure that is now planned on July 22nd is a minimally invasive "right anterior minithoracotomy" done by Dr. Basel Ramlawi---a very skilled and experienced surgeon who has done many of these surgeries thru out his 18 year career. I debated having TAVR done, but since I am a young 76 in good health I decided along with Dr. Ramlawi's suggestions to choose the minithoracotomy option that could last me the rest of my life---here's hoping!
