About Me (In My Own Words)
Amazingly after reading my current story, I realized how long it has been since I started following this site. After all was said and done, they discovered an aortic aneurysm and I had to have full blown surgery, Unfortunately NOT at Penn Medicine (but I sure go there now). Since December 7th 2022 I had Aneurysm repaired, Aortic Valve replaced, 2 Ablations, Pacemaker put in and something I still don't understand about "snipping" something to avoid me from congestive heart failure. Now they tell me I have severe PVCs (wish I knew what it really is) another ablation, and my Mitral Valve needs major repair or replace. Not ready to give up, but all very frustrating. So much for what I thought was the answer 7 years ago!

I am new to this forum. I would like to know what the basic requirements are for eligibility for the TAVR procedure. I am 65 and in fairly good condition. About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis. I had my first followup appointment with my cardiologist yesterday and he says that I need to do something sooner rather than later. I would like to have the least evasive procedure because I am concerned about recovery time. I need it as short as possible for fear of job loss. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
