About Me

49yo Male. Heart murmur for several years. Confirmed: mitral valve with myxomatous degeneration and severe prolapse of the posterior and anterior leaflets. At least moderate regurgitation that is very eccentric. I'm concerned about sternotomy and hear stories of permanent loss of some physical capability/performance (golf, weight lifting, wakeboarding).
