I was diagnosed with Aortic Valve Stenosis due to a congenital defect bicuspid aortic valve when I was 53 years old. Had minimally invasive Aortic valve replacement surgery in November of 2015, had a bovine material valve implanted. After nearly 11 years, it's starting to show mild stenosis, so probably in the next 2 to 4 years I will need it replaced, but have been told I now qualify for the TAVR procedure to place a new valve when needed.
