Diagnosed with Hyperthropic Cardiomyopathy with Mitral Valve Prolapse and regurgitation. Went in for mitral valve repair but it did not work so they did a mech valve replacement w/septal myectomy. Had a left ventricular fibrillation episode when in hospital so they implanted a defibrillator. I also went into AFib while at hospital. If I don't convert on my own in next 30 days, they will cardiovert me. All in all though, the physicians seemed to be amazed at how fast I am healing. It's been three weeks and I have been on long walks and I start Cardiac Rehab today. I still get tired which is not unusual, but getting stronger everyday.
