I was diagnosed with mitral valve regurgitation in the fall of 2024 and began a series of tests which for the most part were negative but my dr didn’t like what she heard and continued until she confirmed that my condition had moved from moderate to severe, and recommended I go to Penn. In Jan 2025 I started having a fib and wore a heart monitor which confirmed 100% a fib. I had mitral valve repair on May 6 which was successful but continued to have a fib until I had cardiac ablation in October 2025 which has resolved that condition now.
