About Me (In My Own Words)
I've had mitral valve regurgitation with a moderate leak since 1999-2000 which has slowly worsened, and a new diagnosis of atrial fibrillation since May 2019. I'm now severe. My surgeon will try a neo-chords repair, but would replace the valve if it isn't successful. I am thankful for this website since it is hard to find others with Mitral Valve in need of repair. He would try an atriclip and a partial maze procedure to help correct afib if I understand this correctly.
