About Me (In My Own Words)
I had a case of congestive heart failure in mid-Feb of this year that was originally misdiagnosed as costchondritis. I now have had the usual tests and also a tee and cath and my cardiologist says I can have a valve repair and no bypass is necessary. The only surgeon referral has been to a surgeon who does the traditional open heart procedure. Am looking for referrals close to home for minimally invasive. So far surgeon in Hudson says can refer to Shands in Gainsville. Haven't found any info yet on Tampa General, Florida Hospital or Mortan Plant. Anyone out there have experience with any of the above facilities or surgeon suggestions for minimally invasive surgery.
