I was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve about 10 years ago. This has been monitored annually at Mayo Clinic AZ. Aortic stenosis has reached the severe stage. After testing and discussing options I am scheduled for open heart surgery—aortic valve replacement with a biological valve.
