About Me (In My Own Words)
Hello all! I was born with mitral and aortic valve stenosis. When I was 36 hours old, I was rushed to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to have my aortic valve ballooned opened. It took many attempts but it was finally successful. My parents later learned, when I wasn't recovering, that I had mitral valve stenosis as well. I had my first surgery at 9 months old, the night before which my heart went into cardiac arrest 5 times. I had my second surgery at 11 in 2001 and my third surgery at 14 in 2008. I am going in for my fourth and final surgery on September 5th. I have competed in two bodybuilding competitions and plan on continuing that as well as becoming a trainer.
