About Me (In My Own Words)
My story. In 1978 at age 32 I had a mild heart attack. For the next 20 years I took meds to control my arrhythmia problems and worked. In 1999 I had nerve ablations. In 2000 went to Clev. Clinic for Valve repair. Had a stroke while in surgery. In Aug 2015, had afib. It was corrected.with a jolt! In October 2015 while playing poker with friends. Felt heart beating top of stomach, heavy and fast. Felt faint. Friend took me to hospital ER. By then, sweating profusely, soaked! ER treated me for a VTAC, with a jolt! Heart rate 198! Hospital admitted me. Had angiagram 2 stints placed in arteries. Followed by, pacemaker/defibrillator insertion! Meds revised and increased! I Thank god for our, doctors, nurses and advances in medicine!
Oh, what I forgot to mention. The company I'd worked for 29 yrs. The new mgmnt FIRED ME! Dick Cheney got a new heart! Congressman Mark Kirk had a stroke. Continued to serve while recovering! The miracles of standards!
