6/2011 - Bicuspid aortic valve replaced with bioprosthetic Trifecta aortic valve from St. Jude Medical at Cleveland Clinic
8/2021 - Mis-diagnosed (for 3-4 months) subacute infective endocarditis which severely damaged original bioprosthetic aortic valve as well as aortic annulus and part of aortic root. Emergency surgery (in Hartford, CT - St. Francis - not recommended) attempted to repair annulus and root. Valve replaced with Edwards Lifescience Kolter product. Surgical repair failed within 3 months with emergence of leak creating pseudoaneurysm.
12/2021 - Redo surgery at Cleveland Clinic with the immensely skilled Dr. Tong, Homograft used and all Hartford repair work removed. Heart physiology returned to close to normal.
