I'm 59 years old, the only symptoms I've ever had were heart palpitations, which I always blamed on dehydration, just lately my cardiologist detected a heart murmur. After a cardiac MRI and a TEE i was told I have severe regurgitation, and to replace my aortic valve asap. I was very surprised after 30 years of triathlons and marathons that the problem was never found sooner.
