I will be 60 years old by the time of my surgery. I was diagnosed with severe mitral valve prolapse regurgitation in March. In December I went for my regular physical and the NP heard a swishing sound and said that it more than likely a murmor but refered me to a cardiologist. After having an electro cardiogram and then a TEE test, it was determined that I have servere mitral valve regurgitation. I was then referred to Dr. Bolling at the University of Michigan and my surgery is scheduled for August 5th.
