About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with a bicusipd aortic valve at around age 14. I was routinely monitored. At age 42 I was told that my aortic valve needed replacment. I choose a Ross Procedure with Dr. Stranes at USC and had a great result. This lasted around the expected timeframe of 12 years.I was informed that my pulmonary valve needed replacement. I was offered an option of a minimmally invasive procedure. I also had a leaking triscupid valve. I decided to have open heart surgery. I recieved another homograft pulmonary valve. In addtion Dr. Starnes repaired by Tricuspid valve. The procedure went well. My recovery was remarkably quick with less pain than 12 years ago
