Nine years ago, during an annual physical a heart murmur was detected. I had an ECHO which showed mild mitral valve regurgitation. Years passed and not another word about a murmur. In November of 2024 a new doctor doing a pre-op check for hip surgery heard the murmur which led to another ECHO that showed moderate to severe regurgitation. Another ECHO in September 2025 showed severe regurgitation. I’m now scheduled for minimally invasive mitral valve repair.
