About Me (In My Own Words)
When I was 5, I had a Ross Procedure with Dr. Edward Bove in Michigan. Sixteen years later, at the age of 21, I'm preparing to undergo another open heart surgery to replace my donor pediatric pulmonary valve with a healthy adult valve and fix moderate-severe leaks in both my aortic and pulmonary valves. I expect to need this surgery in the summer of 2017. I expected another open heart surgery, just not so soon.
I'm here looking for a support group and fellow patients with answers for my questions.
