About Me (In My Own Words)
Going in for OHS # 2 this time i am going with mechanical instead of pig, pretty nervous about all the life changes ahead. When i was 14 i was diagnosed with TAK (takayasus arteritis) from there i was in and out of the hospital and missed alot of my childhood, as kids had crushes i was picking meds and procedures, it forced me to grow up really fast. At 21 i had my 1st OHS at The U of U that was 11 years ago, i am now a mother and going in for #2 and have never been so scared in my life, everything is different now and i am finding it so hard to discuss this with anyone and feeling so alone as no one ever calls to ask if i need anything or if i am ok. I am learning again to fight this battle on my own.
