About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with moderate mitral regurgitation and calcification of the valve in 2019. It progressed to severe in 2020. I am currently asymptomatic and other than a moderately dilated left atrium my echo has not changed. I feel good but have decided to go forward with the surgery. I worry that waiting longer will decrease my chances of getting a repair. I live in Weymouth, MA and will be driving to NY. Dr. Adams is confident that he can do a repair and also fix a slightly leaky tricuspid valve.
