About Me (In My Own Words)
In 2013, a medical procedure left me with an infection that went to my heart and attached to my tricuspid valve. I had months of antibiotics, a bowel resection, hysterectomy, and 3 months with a peg tube, NPO, and TPN. Once that was over, I had frequent echos to check the valve. I’m May, 2018, the valve failed and I needed surgery. The Drs talked about a valve replacement. I was literally scared to death!! Luckily, my surgeon was able to repair the valve with a MC 3 annulpolasty system! Recovery went well, but I have developed Anxiety. I’m hoping this is temporary. I have heard a lot of people go through this and was given this website by a friend!!
