About Me

Diagnosed with Heart murmur in teens. 80's then told Mitral Valve regurgitation in 90's and 7 yrs ago ...it's Bicuspid Aortic stenosis ....apparently since birth and hereditary. Technology has come so Far in last 30 years . It's progressed significantly in last year so time to have it replace . I had a heart catheter on Wednesday and all else looks good . Meet with surgeon on June 1 st to schedule a date , do know it will be Open heart . Just turn 50 in Sept so we will see what type of valve . Sounds like my cardiologist suggests the pig or cow so that I don't have to be on blood thinners the rest of life but understand they don't last as long as mechanical.
