My husband who is going to be 65 this year was diagnosed with an aorta aneurysm, in the root of the valve. They discovered this when he was hospitalized in December with high blood pressure. They did a heart cath and placed a stint for a 70% blockage and discovered the aneurysm. Prior to this hospital stay he hasn't been 'sick" and did not go to the doctor except on occasion. Apparently he had high blood pressure for a while that had not been controlled. I am almost 57 and looking for information to be informed and educated to be the best care giver I can be for my husband. Having had my mother pass in triple bypass surgery 5 days before she turned 42 I am quite anxious about this whole situation.
