About Me (In My Own Words)
I started dealing with various arrhythmia issues starting in March of 2021. My cardiologist sent me to an electrophysiologist in June of last year and I had my first cardiac ablation in September 2021. I experienced slow atrial flutter for a month after that first ablation and had a cardioversion done in October of 2021. In March of this year I wore a Zio monitor for 2 weeks and it showed SVT's and some Afib. A second ablation was done On June 1 of this year and I was good for two and half weeks. I experienced significant Afib on the 21st of June and spent the better part of a week in the hospital along with another cardioversion. While in the hospital another echo cardiogram showed significant mitral and tricuspid regurgitation along with high pressures in the pulmonary arteries. After a referral with my surgeon, I am scheduled for surgery on the 11th to hopefully take care of these problems. The last month has been a lot to take in. This site has been extremely helpful in coming to terms with my upcoming surgery and in helping to know what recovery may look like.
