About Me

Currently 51. Found out about 7 years ago I had a bicuspid valve and started doing yearly Echos, that finally went to 6 months. I was hoping to get into my 60's before I needed a new valve, but that's not in the cards. First Surgeon's opinion was Mechanical with Blood Thinners the rest of my life...... This is not the path for me. After my own research found this site as well as hearing about the Ross Procedure.....this sounds more like my fit for me. Should have surgery in a few months.
