About Me

Hi all About 4 years ago i thought I was having a heart attack while at the barbers, they called an ambulance. The paramedics told me it was a panic attack and said it was ok to go home. However as i never had a panic attack before before I decided to go to my family doctor who referred me to a cardiologist and I was diagnosed with a Bicuspid aortic valve. My Doctor was observing my condition over the last few years. He has advised I have developed severe aortic stenosis. and he advised valve replacement. my surgery was to be in April this year however this was cancelled due to covid 19. I received a call this week advising me that my surgery is this Friday, so I am a little nervous about that but also glad that it will be over and hopefully I can get on with life . I have found it very reassuring reading other patients experiences on this web site. I will update later and hope it is of some help to other people in the same position.
