I was born with bicuspid aortic valve that has been monitored my whole life. I went in for my yearly check up last Tuesday and was told I had an ascending aortic aneurysm measuring around 4.7 cm. I was sent directly to meet with a surgeon and he advised scheduling a replacement within the next few months.
